Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know
What does my child need in order to play?
We always recommend comfortable clothing and footwear. Cleats and shin guards are not mandatory although you're more than welcome to have the kids wear them if you have them for Soccer Saints classes. We know how quickly they grow at this age and we focus on developing the fundamentals which is why shin guards and cleats are not mandatory. Other than that we always recommend to bring plenty of water.
How long do classes last?
Classes are typically 1 hour in length and sessions last 8, 10 or 12 weeks.
If the session has already started can I still register?
Yes absolutely. After each class has been taught we take down the price to reflect the number of classes remaining in the session. You're welcome to register at any point during the season at the prorated amount. If a class is full you will see the words "Sold Out" on the class. If you don't see your class just let us know and we can customize an invoice for you. When we're nearing a new session we take down the current session's registration to make space for the upcoming session.
Will equipment be provided?
Yes absolutely. All equipment is provided and on the first day you will receive a Sports Saints t-shirt that are available in multiple sizes so we should find the perfect fit.
If my child doesn't like the class can we be refunded?
Yes of course. We're happy to refund for the remaining sessions in the session and we can refund back to the method of payment used when registering.
How do I pay?
Registrations typically take place on SportsSaints.org where all the current classes are listed. We do have an option at checkout to pay with any credit/debit card or alternatively if you'd prefer to pay with PayPal there is an option for that too. If you'd like to pay with Zelle or Venmo please fill out the registration, click pay later and you're welcome to proceed with the Zelle to 323-326-2316 or Venmo to SportsSaints. You should see the Sports Saints shield on the profile page.
What is the difference between the league and classes?
The league games are where the children scrimmage against another Soccer Saints park programs for a full hour with a half time break 30 minutes in. Scores are recorded and posted on SportsSaints.org.
The classes are once a week where children will learn a new fundamental soccer skill as well as recapping last week's skill. Games and drills will be centered around these skills with a STEAM break half way through the class where children can grab a sip of water and learn about an element of science, technology, engineering, art or math. Towards the end of the class the children get to scrimmage in a game against each other to put into practice what they've learned in the class that day.
